Ramadhan-the Early Bird Series.2) Some Home work for Ramazan

In the name of Allah, the Most-Merciful, the All-Compassionate

“May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You”

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam ‘ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakaatuh

—————————————————————————————-

1) The Ramadhan–Early Bird Series

Ramadan is quickly approaching. Instead of waiting for the last minute to prepare, begin today for a fruitful month of blessings and Barakah from Allah [SWT].

To fully benefit from a great opportunity, you need to prepare for it – and the more thorough the preparation, the better. As Muslims, we have an annual event that serves as a tremendous opportunity to gather rewards and effect permanent, positive changes in our lives that will help us draw closer and closer to the Almighty. That opportunity is Ramadan.

Usually, it’s only in few days before Ramadan that we start hearing about how important it is to prepare so that by the time the month arrives, we’re already in the spirit of striving, and we have the momentum to make the most of Ramadan.

But we also hear how the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allâh be upon him) com panions

(may Allâh be pleased with them) used to look forward to Ramadan a full six months before it came. And because they are the best generation in our history, we should take them as our role models and try to emulate their attitude towards this great opportunity.

We have, Insha Allah, few days left until Ramadan begins – so if we want to take full benefit from Ramadan, and take advantage of those `early bird’ benefits, now is the time to start preparing (if we haven’t already started, that is).

You may be thinking it’s too soon, but time flies and we get wrapped up in so many things – so it would be foolish to let this reminder – and this early opportunity – pass you by.

The Early Bird Plan

It’s a well-established principle that the way to success is gradualism: doing things little by little, stage by stage, but being consistent in it. So with this series, what I hope to do is take one aspect of development at a time, and make that the focus for the month – for the next five months. And when Ramadan hits, Insha Allah, we would have covered five important elements of our spiritual lives, and be better prepared to step up in those areas to new and amazing heights.

The system being proposed here is open to your suggestions, so please do give feedback if you can contribute anything positive. With regard to topics on a monthly basis, you can choose to go along with what’s suggested, or you can choose your own area to focus on. Each person knows him/herself best, and knows what’s most important for their lives – so focus on what you need to, adopting a structured framework within which to focus your efforts.

The general framework for the project:

1. Pick an area you’d like to work on for this month (e.g. character, speech, fasting, charity); or use the one prescribed in this article

2. Analyse what your current condition is in the area (quality, frequency, etc)

3. Look at what your weaknesses / problems are, and their root causes

4. Think of practical methods to over com e those root causes

5. Set up a realistic plan of action to implement those solutions gradually in the com ing months, then at a higher pace in Ramadan

Stage 1: Salaah

We know the importance of salaah in Islam: it’s the first thing we’ll be asked about on the Day of Judgement, and according to another hadeeth, it’s a founding pillar of Islam – whoever has established it has uplifted the pillar, and whoever has disregarded it has dropped the founding pillar.

So with that in mind, this first month’s preparation consists of the following:

Diagnosis

Ask yourself: • Do I understand how important salaah really is, for both my current life and my time in the grave and Hereafter? • Am I making my com pulsory Salaah every day? • Am I generally making them on time, or do I let other things delay me too often? • Am I striving to make them in congregation? • Do I have good concentration in salaah, or do other things often distract me?

There are many other points we could ponder on regarding salaah, but for now, we’ll limit the discussion to these alone. Think through each question, and record your answers. Be honest with yourself – and do this either com pletely in private, without sharing it with anyone (if you prefer it that way), or with someone else (if you think that’s more beneficial).

Root Cause Analysis

Now go through each of these points and look at what the problems / weaknesses are. List each of the problems, along with its outward symptoms that you notice (e.g. losing focus during salaah – what is my mind drifting to?). Then try to find what the root causes of those problems are by interrogating each symptom. Ask yourself “why?” that symptom persists, and keep asking “why?” of each answer until you get to the root cause.

Solutions

With the problems diagnosed, the symptoms identified, and root causes found, now think of practical ways to solve those problems from the root. For example, if your mind drifts to your daily activities during salaah, is it because you spend so much time wrapped up in those activities, and then `quickly’ go to make salaah for a short time before you can get back to it?

If so, one solution is to give yourself a buffer of a few minutes before each salaah – a short period where you disconnect from all those activities, sit quietly and alone and try to let all those thoughts dissipate while you mentally prepare for your meeting with Allah. And after the salaah, take another few minutes to just stay in that moment – before you return to your life’s activities.

Planning

With solutions identified, now analyse what your schedule and life is like at this moment, and com e up with a realistic plan of how you can implement the solution. Remember that a solution is far more effective if you implement it gradually – in small, manageable pieces, and consistently – rather than trying to make a big change in one go, and burning yourself out. Set up your plan to take baby steps in this month, knowing that you’ll only be starting small for now – and increasing the pace when Ramadan com es.

If, after a while, you find that you’ve incorrectly estimated your ability to follow the plan, simply make adjustments as needed. The goal for this month, and the four that follow, is to implement steps that are realistic for you – what you can manage, and not what will overburden you.

And the most important resources of all are the right intentions, sincere dua asking for success in this venture, and then consistent effort to do your best.

2) Some homework to do in Ramadhan

The pious servants of Allaah will wel com e this blessed month, awakening from their negligence, beseeching Allaah’s pardon, and repenting to Him. They will take a very pledge that they are, with immense pleasure, going to fully utilize this blessed month of Ramadaan with all of its mercies and the bliss that it brings. Moreover, they will spend their precious time worshipping Allaah, increasing their righteousness and good deeds. Thus, this month is meritorious for special pious deeds in which there are surely many virtues.

1.ReadQuraan: Learning the translation of the meaning, pondering over its Verses are also re com mended and encouraged acts.

And he (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever reads one letter from the Book of Allaah, will receive one Hasanah (reward for a good deed), and one Hasanah com es with ten like it. I do not say that Alif – Lam – Mim is a letter. Indeed Alif is a letter, and Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.

2. Make Dua (Supplications)

One should make as much Dua for himself, family and the Muslim Ummah as much as he can during Ramadaan.

3. Strengthen Family ties

Ramadaan is a time where a person who may have problems or disagreements between his family members should clear them. There is great reward for one who upholds kinship. Narrated Anas bin Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him): Allaahs Apostle (peace be upon him) said,”Whoever loves that he be granted more wealth and that his lease of life be prolonged then he should keep good relations with his Kith and kin.”

4. Praying Qiyaam / Taraweeh/ Tahajjud (the Night Prayer)

Narrated Aboo Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him): I heard Allaahs Apostle (peace be upon him) saying regarding Ramadan, “Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allaah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”
5. Making Dawah(Spreading the word of Islam)

Ramadaan is a perfect time for Muslims to make Dawaah to those that are not practicing, as well as non-Muslims.

6. Nawafil /Optional/ Voluntary Prayers

Narrated Aboo Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:”The first of his deeds for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is sound then he will have succeeded but if it is not sound then he will be lost and doomed. If anything is lacking from his obligatory prayers, the Lord will say: Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary (prayers), and the shortfall from his obligatory prayers will be made up from that.
7. Duha Prayer

The Duha Prayer is a voluntary Salah prayer between the time after Fajr (i.e. Dawn) and the time before the Dhuhr prayer (i.e. forenoon). The minimum Rakahs for Duha prayer are two and the maximum are twelve.

8. Make Dhikr Of Allaah

And He, the Most High, also said: “And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.

9. Fasting

Narrated Aboo Saeed(may Allaah be pleased with him): I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying, “Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allaah’s Pleasure, Allaah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years.

10. Itikaaf(seclusion In the mosque for ibadat)

Narrated Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till he died and then his wives used to practice Itikaf after him.
11. Not Missing the Witr Salah

“Witr” literally means odd number. Witr has two different meanings in the Sunnah: The last one or three Rakahs of the night prayer, or it means all of the night prayers (because in essence they are odd – numbered). This discussion refers to the former meaning. We learn from the following hadith that Witr is not obligatory but desirable. But it would not be correct to show any slackness in performing it because every Muslim should do his best to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
12. Giving Charity

Aboo Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying: “In the morning charity is due from every bone in the body of every one of you. Every utterance of Allah’s glorification (SubhanAllaah) is an act of charity. Every utterance of praise of Him (Alhamdulilah) is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Oneness (La ilaha illa Allaah) is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Greatness (Allaahu Akbar) is an act of charity, enjoining Maruf (good) is an act of charity, forbidding what is Munkar (evil) is an act of charity, and two rakahs which one prays in the forenoon will suffice.”

13. Providing for one to open the fast

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever gives food to a fasting person with which to break his fast, will have a reward equal to his, without it detracting in the slightest from the reward of the fasting person.”
14. Be Consistent and Moderate

Its very easy to have a sudden burst of energy and do a lot in one day and then not do anything during the rest of the month (due to tiredness). It’s Sunnah to be moderate and consistent. Narrated Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her): The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked, “What deeds are loved most by Allaah?” He said, “The most regular constant deeds even though they may be few.”

Oh Allah, allow us to make the most of Ramadhan. Oh Allaah, let us meet you with a clean heart, with all our sins erased. Oh Allaah grant us mercy, and make us from those that you have freed from hell fire.

Abu Mas’ud ‘Uqba ibn ‘Amr al-Ansari al-Badri reported that the Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), said, “Anyone who shows the way to something good has the same reward as the person who does it.” [Muslim]

E.g. if you encourage someone to go for Salah, or pay Zakat and the person actually goes ahead and prays or pays Zakat, Allah will reward him for the good deeds and at the same time give you (the one that encouraged them to do good) an equal reward as he has given them- without decreasing what he gave them.

So encourage others to do Good and refrain from bad Deeds and please remember me in your prayers

 :::

{54}

Bismillahir Rehmaanir Raheem
Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmath Ullahi Wa Barakatahu

HYPOCRITES ARE PARTY OF SATAN

Asslam O Alikum to all Muslim

Hypocrites are party of satan

Satan has gained mastery over them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah.     Such people are the party of satan. No indeed! It is the party of satan who are the losers. (Surat Al-Mujadala: 19)

When they meet those who believe, they say, ‘We believe.’ But then when they are alone with their demons, they say, ‘We are really with you. We were only mocking.’(Surat Al-Baqara: 14)

25 HYPOCRITES ACT BY THE IMMORALITY OF SATAN, NOT OF THE COMMANDS OF ALLAH
Do you not see those who claim that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, still desiring to turn to a satanic source for judgement in spite of being ordered to reject it? Satanwants to misguide them far away. (Surat An-Nisa’: 60)
25 SATAN HAS SURROUNDED THE HYPOCRITES LIKE A SHELL
If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most  Gracious, We appoint for him a satan, to be an intimate companion to him. (Surat Az-Zukhruf: 36)
25 SATAN DOES NOT OBEY ALLAH; HYPOCRITES ARE UNWILLING TO OBEY HIS MESSENGER
When We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate yourselves to Adam!’ they prostrated, except for Diabolis. He said ‘What! Am I to prostrate to one You have created out of clay?’ (Surat Al-Isra’: 61)

25SATAN STUPIDLY IMAGINES HIMSELF TO BE VERY SUPERIOR, AND HYPOCRITES GREATLY ADMIRE THEIR OWN LOW INTELLIGENCE
Satan imagines himself to be superior than everyone and does not approve anyone. Hypocrites, in their own minds, do not approve the messenger of Allah and in their own shallow minds, they criticize the decisions and the practices of the messenger.
He (Allah) said, ‘Iblis, what prevented you prostrating to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance or are you one of the exalted?’(Diabolis) said: â€˜I am better than him. You created me from fire but You created him from clay.’ (Surah Sâd: 75-76)
They say, â€˜Why was this Qur’an not sent down to one of the great men of the two cities?’  (Surat Az-Zukhruf: 31)
They say, â€˜What is the matter with this Messenger, that he eats food and walks in the market-place? Why has an angel not been sent down to him so that it can be a warner along with him? (Surat Al-Furqan: 7)

25 SATAN ACTS AS IF HE WANTS THE BEST FOR MANKIND; HYPOCRITES CLAIM TO WANT THE BEST FOR BELIEVERS
Then satan whispered to them, disclosing to them their private parts that had been concealed from them. He said, ‘Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree lest you become angels or among those who live for ever.’ He swore to them, ‘I am one of those who give you good advice.’  (Surat Al-A’raf: 20-21)
When they are told, ‘Do not cause corruption on the earth,’ THEY SAY, ‘WE ARE ONLY PUTTING THINGS RIGHT.’  No indeed! They are the corrupters, but they are not aware of it. (Surat Al-Baqara: 11-12)
AND THOSE WHO  BUILT A MOSQUE TO CAUSE HARM AND FOR UNBELIEF AND TO CAUSE DISUNION AMONG THE BELIEVERS AND IN PREPARATION FOR ONE WHO WARRED AGAINST ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER BEFORE; THEY WILL INDEED SWEAR THAT THEIR INTENTION IS NOTHING BUT GOOD; But Allah bears witness that they are truly liars. (Surat At-Tawba: 107)

25 SATAN MAKES EMPTY PROMISES TO MAN; HYPOCRITES TELL BELIEVERS THAT “IT IS WE WHO ARE ON THE TRUE PATH, COME TO US, JOIN US , SO YOU CAN RELAX”
And when the satan made their works fair seeming to them, and said: No one can overcome you this day, and surely I am your protector: but when the two parties came in sight of each other he turned upon his heels, and said: Surely I am clear of you, surely I see what you do not see, surely I fear Allah; and Allah is severe in requiting (evil). (Surat Al-Anfal: 48)
(Satan) He makes promises to them and fills them with false hopes. But what satan promises them is nothing but delusion. (Surat An-Nisa: 120)
You who believe! do not be like those who are unbelievers and say of their brothers, when they are going on journeys or military expeditions, â€˜If they had only been with us, they would not have died or been killed,’ so that Allah can make that anguish for them in their hearts. It is Allah Who gives life and causes to die. Allah sees what you do. (Surah Al’ Imran: 156)
Say: ‘Are we to call on something besides Allah which can neither help nor harm us, and to turn on our heels after Allah has guided us, like someone the demons have lured away in the earth, leaving him confused and stupefied, despite the fact that he has companions calling him to guidance, saying, “Come with us!”?’ Say: ‘Allah’s guidance, that is true guidance. We are commanded to submit as Muslims to the Lord of all the worlds, (Surat Al-An’am: 71)

25SATAN CLAIMS TO BE ONE OF THOSE WHO GIVES ADVICE, WHILE HYPOCRITES IMAGINE THEY CAN INSTRUCT BELIEVERS BY DISTORTING HADITHS AND VERSES
Then satan whispered to them, disclosing to them their private parts that had been concealed from them. He said, ‘Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree lest you become angels or among those who live for ever.’ He swore to them, â€˜I am one of those who give you good advice.’ (Surat Al-A’raf: 20-21)
25 SATAN TRIES TO APPROACH PEOPLE FROM ALL SIDES, AND HYPOCTITES TRY TO LEAD BELIEVERS INTO CORRUPTION FROM ALL DIRECTIONS
He said, ‘By Your misguidance of me, I will lie in ambush for them on your straight path. Then I will come at them, from in front of them and behind them, from their right and from their left. You will not find most of them thankful.’  (Surat Al-A’raf: 16-17)
25 SATAN WORKS BY FRIGHTENING PEOPLE, WHILE HYPOCRITES ALSO ATTEMPT TO SPREAD FEAR AMONG BELIEVERS
It was only satan frightening you through his friends. But do not fear them – fear Me if you are believers. (Surah Al ‘Imran :175)
[Believers are] those to whom people said, â€œThe people have gathered against you, so fear them.” But that merely increased their belief and they said, “Allah is enough for us and the Best of Guardians.” (Surah Al ‘Imran: 173)
25 SATAN HAS RENOUNCED OBEDIENCE AND IS DISRESPECTFUL AND UNGRATEFUL; HYPOCRITES POSSESS ALL THESE SAME ATROCIOUS CHARACTERISTICS
Squanderers are brothers to the demons, and satan was ungrateful to his Lord.(Surat Al-Isra’: 27)

25 SATAN IS UNRESTRAINED AND SLIPPERY; HYPOCRITES ARE ALSO TRECHEROUS AND SLIPPERY
Among people there is one who argues about Allah without knowledge, and follows every corrupt, rebellious, and mischievous satan. (Surat Al-Hajj: 3)

25 SATAN SEEKS TO SET PEOPLE AGAINST ONE ANOTHER; HYPOCRITES ALSO TRY TO IMPAIR THE BROTHERHOOD AMONG BELIEVERS AND SET THEM AGAINST ONE ANOTHER
Say to My servants that they should only say the best. Satan wants to stir up trouble between them. Satan is an outright enemy to man. (Surat Al-Isra’:53)
Satan wants to stir up enmity and hatred between you by means of wine and gambling, and to debar you from remembrance of Allah and from salat. Will you not then give them up? (Surat Al-Ma’ida:  91)

25 SATAN DELUDES PEOPLE ABOUT ALLAH; HYPOCRITES ALSO ESTABLISH A CLIMATE OF CORRUPTION BY THE USE OF ALLAH’S NAME, VERSES AND HADITHS
Mankind! Allah’s promise is true. Do not let the life of the world delude you and do not let the deluder delude you about Allah (By the use of Allah’s name). Satan is your enemy so treat him as an enemy. He summons his party so they will be among the people of the Searing Blaze. (Surah Fatir: 5-6)

25SATAN WANTS MUSLIMS TO BE WORN DOWN AND DEFEATED AND TO MAKE THEM SLIP; HYPOCRITES ALSO HOPE AND WAIT FOR THE MUSLIMS TO SUFFER LOSSES
Those of you who turned their backs on the day the two armies clashed – it was satan who made them slip for what they had done. But Allah has pardoned them. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, All-Forbearing. (Surat Al-Imran’:155)
They(hyprocrites) will call out to them, ‘Were we not with you?’They will reply, ‘Indeed you were. But you made trouble for yourselves and hung back and and doubted  and false hopes deluded you until Allah’s command arrived. The Deluder deluded you about Allah. (Surat Al-Hadid: 14)

25 SATAN TRIES TO INSTILL DOUBTS IN PEOPLE; HYPOCRITES ALSO SPEAK IN WAYS THAT STIR UP DOUBTS AND CONDUCE PEOPLE WHO ARE WEAK IN FAITH
I will lead them astray and fill them with false hopes.I will command them and they will cut off cattle’s ears. I will command them and they will change Allah’s creation.’ Anyone who takes satan as his protector in place of Allah has clearly lost everything. He makes promises to them and fills them with false hopes. But what satan promises them is nothing but delusion. (Surat An-Nisa:119-120)
The hypocrites and people with sickness in their hearts said, â€˜What Allah and His Messenger promised us was mere delusion.’ (Surat Al-Ahzab: 12)

25SATAN SHOWS DEVIANT PRACTICES AS ALLURING AND ENTICING; HYPOCRITES ALSO WANTS AN ATROCIOUS LIFE THAT REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE THE BOUNDS SET BY ALLAH
.. Satan has made their actions seem good to themand debarred them from the Way so they are not guided. (Surat An-Naml: 24)
If only they had humbled themselves when Our violent force came upon them! However, their hearts were hard and satan made what they were doing seem attractive to them. (Surat Al-A’nam: 43)
Satan promises you poverty and commands you to avarice. Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and abundance. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat Al-Baqara:268)
People who love to see filth being spread about concerning those who have faithwill have a painful punishment both in this world and the Hereafter. Allah knows and you do not know. (Surat An-Nur: 19)

25 SATAN CALLS ON PEOPLE TO WORSHIP FOR SHOW; HYPOCRITES ALSO PERFORM PRAYERS FOR SHOW AND GIVE IN SMALL AMOUNTS ONLY FOR SHOW
And also for those who spend their wealth to show off to people, not having faith in Allah and the Last Day. Anyone who has made satan his comrade, what an evil comrade he is! (Surat An-Nisa’: 38)
Nothing prevents what they give from being accepted from them but the fact that they have rejected Allah and His Messenger, and that they only come to prayers lethargically, and that they only give reluctantly. (Surat At-Tawba: 54)

25 SATAN TRIES TO DISTANCE PEOPLE FROM ALLAH’S VERSES; AND HYPOCRITES DO NOT WANT ALLAH TO BE REMEMBERED
If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him a satan, to be an intimate companion to him. (Surat Az-Zukhruf: 36)
The hypocrites think they deceive Allah, but He is deceiving them. When they get up to pray, they get up lazily, showing off to people, and only remembering Allah a very little. (Surat An-Nisa’: 142)
When Allah is mentioned on His own, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink back shuddering, but when others apart from Him are mentioned, they jump for joy. (Surat Az-Zumar: 45)

25 SATAN INDOCTRINATES EMOTIONALITY IN PEOPLE; HYPOCRITES ALSO ACT ACCORDING TO TWISTED EMOTIONS, AND NOT ACCORDING TO ALLAH’S COMMANDS, REASON AND GOOD CONSCIENCE
O you who believe! Do not take My enemy and your enemy for friends: would you offer them love while they deny what has come to you of the truth, driving out the Messenger and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord? If you go forth struggling hard in My path and seeking My pleasure, would you manifest love to them? And I know what you conceal and what you manifest; and whoever of you does this, he indeed has gone astray from the straight path. (Surat Al-Mumtahana: 1)

25SATAN INSPIRES A FEAR OF POVERTY; HYPOCRITES ARE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT POSSESSIONS AND ARE VERY PARSIMONIOUS. THEY ARE UNWILLING TO SPEND ON ALLAH’S PATH
Satan promises you povertyand commands you to avarice. Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and abundance. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat Al-Baqara: 268)
25SATAN DISTRACTS WITH MINOR DETAILS; HYPOCRITS ARE ALSO EXPERTS AT CREATING STRIFE BY OBSESSION OVER DETAIL
And when Musa said to his people, ‘Allah commands you to sacrifice a cow,’ they said, ‘What! Are you making a mockery of us?’ He said, ‘I seek refuge with Allah from being one of the ignorant!’ They said, ‘Ask your Lord to make it clear to us what it should be like.’ He said, ‘He says it should be a cow, not old or virgin, but somewhere between the two. So do as you have been told.’ They said, ‘Ask your Lord to make it clear to us what colour it should be.’ He said, ‘He says it should be a red cow, the colour of sorrel, a pleasure to all who look.’ They said, ‘Ask your Lord to make it clear to us what it should be like. Cows are all much the same to us. Then, if Allah wills, we will be guided.’  He said, ‘He says it should be a cow not trained to plough or irrigate the fields – completely sound, without a blemish on it.’ They said, ‘Now you have brought the truth’… (Surat Al-Baqara: 67-71)
In these verses, it has been revealed that some people from the community of the Prophet Moses (pbuh) have got into too many details and thus became almost unable to perform the religious service Allah commanded them. In the following part of the verse Allah reveals this truth as follows:
.. So they sacrificed it – but they almost did not do it.  (Surat Al-Baqara: 71)

25SATAN TOTALLY SUBVERTS THE TRUTH; HYPOCRITES ALSO PORTRAY RIGHT AS WRONG, AND WRONG AS RIGHT
Shall I tell you upon whom the demons descend?  They descend on every evil liar. They give them a hearing and most of them are liars. (Surat Ash-Shu’ara’: 221-223)

25SATAN WANTS PEOPLE TO FOLLOW THE SUPERSTITIOUS FAITHS OF THEIR ANCESTORS, NOT THE TRUE FAITH; HYPOCRITES ALSO ESPOUSE A SUPERSTITIOUS CONCEPTION OF RELIGION, ONE FULL OF SUBSEQUENT ADDITIONS
When they are told: ‘Follow what Allah has sent down,’ they say, ‘No, we will follow what we found our fathers doing.’ What! Even if satan is calling them to the punishment of the Blazing Fire? (Surah Luqman: 21)

25SATAN BELIEVES HE HAS BEEN TREATED UNJUSTLY; HYPOCRITES ALSO LIE IN SAYING THE MESSENGERS HAVE NOT TREATED THEM FAIRLY
Is there a sickness in their hearts or do they have misgivings or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will be unjust to them? No, it is simply that they are wrongdoers. (Surat An-Nur: 50)

25SATAN CLAIMS TO BE ON THE TRUE PATH; HYOCRITES ALSO MAINTAIN THAT THEY KNOW WHAT IS BEST
If someone shuts his eyes to the remembrance of the All-Merciful, We assign him a satan who becomes his bosom friend  they debar them from the path, yet they still think they are guided. (Surat Az-Zukhruf: 36-37)
One group He guided; but another group got the misguidance they deserved. They took the demons as friends instead of Allah and thought that they were guided. (Surat An-A’raf: 30)

25SATAN IS SLY AND A LIAR; HYPOCRITES ALSO LIE ALL THE TIME
When the affair is decided satan will say, ‘Allah made you a promise, a promise of truth, and I made you a promise but broke my promise.  (Surah Ibrahim: 22)
SATAN DOES NOT WANT PEOPLE TO GIVE THANKS; HYPOCRITES ARE ALSO SPOILT AND UNGRATEFUL IN THE FACE OF THE BLESSINGS BESTOWED ON THEM BY ALLAH THROUGH HIS MESSENGERS
He (satan) said, ‘By Your misguidance of me, I will lie in ambush for them on your straight path. Then I will come at them, from in front of them and behind them, from their right and from their left. You will not find most of them thankful.’ (Surat Al-A’raf: 16-17)

25ALTHOUGH SATAN ENCOURAGES DENIAL, HE SAYS HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DENIERS; HYPOCRITES ALSO IN FACT HATE THE PEOPLE THEY ADOPT AS FRIENDS
They are like satan when he says to a human being, ‘Be unbeliever,’ and then when he becomes unbeliever, says, â€˜I wash my hands of you. Truly I fear Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’ (Surat Al-Hashr: 16)
They will not fight against you all together as a group except in fortified towns or behind high walls.Their hostility towards each other is intense. They are full of bravado in each other’s company. You consider them united but their hearts are scattered wide. That is because they are people who do not use their intellect. (Surat Al-Hashr: 14)

25 SATAN SAYS HE BELIEVES IN ALLAH; HYPOCRITES, WHEN THEY APPROACH THE PROPHET, ALSO SAY THEY RECOGNIZE HIM AS A MESSENGER
They are like satan when he says to a human being, ‘Be unbeliever,’ and then when he becomes unbeliever, says, ‘I wash my hands of you.Truly I fear Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’ (Surat Al-Hashr: 16)
When the affair is decided satan will say, â€˜Allah made you a promise, a promise of truth, and I made you a promise but broke my promise. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. Do not, therefore, blame me but blame yourselves. I cannot come to your aid nor you to mine. I reject the way you associated me with Allah before.’ The wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.(Surah Ibrahim; 22)
When the hypocrites come to you they say, â€˜We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah.’ Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are certainly liars. (Surat Al-Munafiqun: 1)

” ” The Day Of Aashura ” “

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmath Ullahi Wa Barkatahu

The Day Of Aashura

(10th Muharam )

& Historical Events

Although The Month Of Muharram is A Sacred Month As A Whole,

The 10th Of Muharram is The Most Sacred Among All its Days.

The Day is Named ‘Aashurah’.

It is One Of The Most important And Blessed Days Of Allah Ta’ala in The Islamic Calendar. This Day Has Been Accepted As Having Deep Significance.Evidence Of its Significance Has Been Clearly Found in Authentic Traditions.

There Are Many Prophetic Events Of Great Historical importance And Also Events That Happened After The Beloved And Final Messenger Of Allah (peace be upon him) Had Left This World,Such As The Battle Of Karbala,That Have Taken Place On This Day.

The importance Of The Month Of Muharram Has Been Mentioned in The Qur’aan in Surah Taubah Verse 36. This Day Of Aashura Derives its importance From Prophetic Traditions.

In The Ahadeeth

(sayings of Rasulullah sallallaho alaihe wassallam)

The following Have Been Mentioned :

” Fasting “

The Prophet Muhammad(Sallallahu-Alaihe Wasallam) Has Exhorted And Encouraged His Ummah To fast On This Day. He said:

” This Fast is A Compensation For The (minor) Sins Of The Past Year “

( Hadith : Muslim )

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),When Migrated To Madinah,Found That The Jews Of Madinah Used To Fast On The 10th Day Of Muharram. They Said That it Was The Day On Which The Prophet Musa (Moses), Alaihe Salam, And His Followers Crossed The Red Sea Miraculously And The Pharaoh Was Drowned in its Waters. On Hearing This From The Jews, The Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam, Said,

“ We Are More Closely Rotated To Musa, Alaihi Salam, Than You, ”

…And Directed The Muslims To Fast On The Day Of ‘Ashura’.

( Hadith-Abu Dawood)

” Observe The Fast Of Aashura And Oppose The Jews.Fast A Day Before it Or A Day After.”

(Hadith : Baihaqi)

Hence, it is important To Either Fast On The Ninth And The Tenth

Or

The Tenth And The Eleventh Of Muharram.

To Fast Only On The Day Of Aashora is Makrooh (undesirable).

BEING GENEROUS

One should be generous on one’s family and dependants and spend more on them than what is normally spent.

Rasulullah ( Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said :

” One Who Generously Spends On His Family On The Day Of Aashora, Allah Will increase (his provision) For The Whole Year.”

( Hadith : Baihaqi )

HISTORICAL EVENTS

There is No Doubt On The Blessedness Of The The Day Of Aashura. Many Historical Events Of Deep Significance Have Also Been Recorded On This Day.

Hazrat Musa (AS) And His People,

The Bani Israel, Were Saved From The Egyptian Pharaoh By The Miracle Of The Parting Of The Sea On The Day Of Ashura. It Was For This Reason That The Jews Used To Fast On This Day.

The Tragic Battle Of Karbala Was Also Fought On This Day. This Event Has Many important Lessons For The Ummah (Muslim Nation) Especially At This Point in Time When The Ummah is Being Maliciously Targeted And Persecuted just Because Of Their Attachment And Love For Islam-

The Religion Of Truth.

” ” The Straight Path ” ” 1st Part

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuh! https://i0.wp.com/img153.imageshack.us/img153/9657/z4cab8dc321b28.gif

A straight path

Allah Does Not impose The Belief in Him Upon The Heart Of Mankind.

It is The individual’s Heart That is Either Open To Guidance Or Not.

God’s Prophets And Messengers Showed Mankind The Straight Path.

It is Up To individuals To Choose To Follow The Path Or Not.

However, True Guidance, is Not From The Prophets, But From Allah Alone.

How Could This Be ?

Can Someone Who Did Not Hear The Message Of Any Prophet, But is A Good Person, Not Be Guided ?

Of Course Not ! Mankind is Unable To Discern ALL That is Right And Wrong With His Own intellect As Hard As He May Try.

God’s Guidance

The Mission Of The Prophets Was To Convey The True Message From Their Lord And Not Their Own Minds Or intellect. Among Those Who Receive Their Message, Some Are Guided, And Some Are Not. This is When We Delve into The Core Of The Matter: it is The individual’s Heart That is Either Open To Guidance Or Not. Allah Does Not impose The Belief in Him Upon The Heart Of Mankind—

Although The Knowledge Of His Oneness is imprinted in The Heart Of ALL Mankind, But Satan, And His Host, Would Do Their Best To Stray Mankind From The Right Path And Thus Forget The Creator And His Message.

Thus, One Who Follows His Desires And Turns Away From The True Guidance, Slowly Marks His Heart With Stains Of Disbelief Which Over Time Covers His Entire Heart And Turns Him Against Allah –
Even Though He May Have Fully Heard The Message Of The Messengers And The Call to believe in the one God.

Allah warns Prophet Muhammad :

{You (O, Muhammad) cannot guide whom you please; it is Allah who guides whom He wills. He knows well those who are guided}

(Al Qasas 28:56)

Reading the stories of various prophets of the Old Testament, all the way to the last Prophet and Messenger of God, Muhammad, peace be upon him, we notice a common thread.

Their message was one :

“Worship your lord, God, and do not worship any other than Him.”

This main message was followed by series of commandments, most of which were very similar throughout religious history. Yet, religious rituals differed from one religion to others.

Thus, there is no contradiction when God says,

{…Verily, You (O Muhammad) are indeed guiding (mankind) to the Straight Path (i.e. Allah’s Religion of Islamic Monotheism)}

(Al-Shura 42:52)

This means that Muhammad, is indeed, delivering the correct guidance and the straight path to Allah, but he is not forcing anyone to follow this path. Freewill is one of the tools for test Allah has chosen by which to know who is a true believer and who is not.

To Be Continue

Ya Allah ! Surely We Have Heard A Preacher Calling To The Faith, Saying : Believe in Your Allah, So We Did Believe; Ya Allah ! Forgive Us Therefore Our Faults, And Cover Our Evil Deeds And Make Us Die With The Righteous. Ya Allah ! Grant Us Good in This World And Good in The Hereafter, And Save Us From The Chastisement Of The Fire. Ya Allah ! Accept From Us ; Surely Thou Art The Hearing, The Knowing

~ Religion of Ibrahim Alaihi Salaam ~
(In the Light of Noble Qur’an)
[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 124] And when his Lord tried Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely I will make you an Imam of men. Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust, said He.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 125] And when We made the House a pilgrimage for men and a (place of) security, and: Appoint for yourselves a place of prayer on the standing-place of Ibrahim (alaihi salaam). And We enjoined Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) and Ismail (alaihi salaam) saying: Purify My House for those who visit (it) and those who abide (in it) for devotion and those who bow down (and) those who prostrate themselves.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 126] And when Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) said: My Lord, make it a secure town and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the last day. He said: And whoever disbelieves, I will grant him enjoyment for a short while, then I will drive him to the chastisement of the fire; and it is an evil destination.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 127] And when Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) and Ismail (alaihi salaam) raised the foundations of the House: Our Lord! accept from us; surely Thou art the Hearing, the Knowing.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 128] Our Lord! and make us both submissive to Thee and (raise) from our offspring a nation submitting to Thee, and show us our ways of devotion and turn to us (mercifully) , surely Thou art the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 129] Our Lord! and raise up in them an Apostle from among them who shall recite to them Thy communications and teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them; surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 130] And who forsakes the religion of Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) but he who makes himself a fool, and most certainly We chose him in this world, and in the hereafter he is most surely among the righteous.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 131] When his Lord said to him, Be a Muslim, he said: I submit myself to the Lord of the worlds.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 132] And the same did Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) enjoin on his sons and (so did) Yaqoub (alaihi salaam). O my sons! surely Allah has chosen for you (this) faith, therefore die not unless you are Muslims.

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 133] Nay! were you witnesses when death visited Yaqoub (alaihi salaam), when he said to his sons: What will you serve after me? They said: We will serve your God and the God of your fathers, Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) and Ismail (alaihi salaam) and Ishaq (alaihi salaam), one God only, and to Him do we submit.
